Up
to switch relations of 1:11 for switches in good working
condition it is sufficient to equip one pair of BASICEKOSLIDE (2
rolls).
If
the switch is longer, it will be equipped every 8 m with an
additional pair of SUPPORTEKOSLIDE (one roll).

EKOSLIDE in
the switch
|
|
While
the switch moves, the
EKOSLIDE – switch rolls lift the switch tongue by an height
of 1 - 2 mm. The regulation is made by an adjustable spring
pack.
The
regulation screw is protected by a counter nut and is
positioned at the bottom of the device, where it is protected
by the ground material.
So
the working of the tamper machines is possible without
problems. EKOSLIDE will not be damaged and therefor doesn´t
have to be removed.
The
regulation screw is mainly used at the installation process
and so doesn´t have to be handled later.

A
re-regulation of the device is hardly necessary because:
|
|
|
|
|
|
-
EKOSLIDE
is installed only on the tracks and is not fixed on the
sleepers. So the system is independant of the material
movements.
-
The
elastic closing by the climb guarantees a reliable fixing
that is not influences by vibrations. Our closing
provides more than the necessary closing power of 5000 N,
that is necessary for the high speed lines.

At
the open switch, the
switch tonge is supported by the spring packs of EKOSLIDE which
absorb vibrations and provide an additional stabilization of the
tongue.
While
closing the switch, EKOSLIDE
lifts the switch tongue and enables it to move without friction.
When
the train passes, the spring packs are pressed down and the
switch tongue comes back to the slide plates. So the weight of
the train remains on the slide plates. EKOSLIDE is not carrying
the weight of the train but only the weight of the switch tongue.
It
is dimensioned exactly for this purpose and guarantees with its
4 - 7 kg as well a reliable functionan as also an easy handling.
